Counseling Practicum

Only start your counseling practicum when instructed.

For each counselee, you will upload the PDI first on the assignment with no letters beginning with 1.  The PDI should include your notes on what issues need be addressed along with opening questions to ask in your initial session.  Please include this as a separate page at the end of the PDI

Each weeks counseling notes will be uploaded under the assignments lettered a-e for the same counselee.  Your notes should include the drift of the session, as well as an evaluation of the state of counseling after the session.  You should also include assessment of the homework and what homework was assigned at the end of the session. 

You will need to upload 5 sessions worth of notes for each counselee.  If you do not have five sessions, submit the unused sessions with ‘not used‘ written in the assignment text box.

To complete Practicum you will need to do a total of 50 counseling sessions. 

Unused sessions do not count to this total. 

There are 15 sets provided for you to upload your PDI’s and Counseling Session notes.  You may not use all five in each set and may not need all 15 to hit your 50 session requirement.  If this proves to be to few to hit the required number of sessions more will be added to accommodate.
